scrape_ (“the Service”) is a web scraping API operated by Zaks.io (“we”, “us”). The Service fetches publicly accessible web pages and returns their content as clean markdown, raw HTML, or structured data via REST API or MCP server. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
You authenticate via Auth0 and receive API keys to access the Service. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure. Do not share keys or embed them in client-side code. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Compliance with target sites' robots.txt and terms of service is your responsibility.
We apply fair-use rate limits to ensure service quality. Limits may be adjusted at any time. If you consistently exceed limits, we may throttle or suspend your access.
Scraped content is cached per-user with a configurable TTL. Cached data is automatically purged after expiration. You can configure cache behavior via the API.
The Service supports user-provided proxies. You are solely responsible for ensuring your proxy usage complies with applicable laws and the proxy provider's terms of service.
The smart extraction feature sends scraped content to a third-party LLM provider (OpenRouter) along with your extraction prompt. Do not use this feature on content you are not authorized to process through third-party AI services. We do not control the LLM provider's data handling practices.
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not offer a service level agreement (SLA). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete your data.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
